Labor Day...on the horizon. Our nation is buffeted by terrible news...and the pattern has been going on for well over a year, closer to two, now. Here is an interesting image for the times...a lonely sailor and his boat just off the Newport, Rhode Island coast line, buffeted by winds and sea against a brilliant summer sky and a vast, blue-green ocean. Here in mid-August, I would love to hear from you. This heat wave of recent days has passed, at least temporarily. These are garden days, beach days, reading days, as we try to understand the condition of our country, of our society, and where we might bed heading. It is a serious time, is it not? Here is a toast to you...a delicious, cold, August drink perhaps with a sprig of fresh-from-vine mint, thrown in.
No matter where you are or what you are doing... here is to a restful mid-August...in stressful times. Finding and keeping our Peace is an important summer task, this year, I find.
Lets hear it for the peace that comes from sailing the open sea on a bright, mid-August day.
