Spring! 2023, Crazy Times They Are

Spring! Bulbs are up, chicks are busy, Queen Bees really busy, and times are nuts.    "Up on the Farm , " a detail, from not yet included on my art site Dear Friends Old and New, Seems just yesterday I was donning my first fall fleece of the season, cranking up our wood stove, checking the furnace, closing storm windows and preparing for the long, dark, cold winter. Now, here we are, the first day of spring. Isn't it grand? Still cold, here in the northeast, but bright. The image I've posted above is a detail, one of a handful you may see on Instagram, from a large oil-on-canvas painting titled, "Up on the Farm." I will be making prints available later in the year. The painting expresses one of my favorite farms on planet earth, belonging to a dear friend and neighbor who is presently in her 100th year.
