Season Not Quite Here...Yet
Daffodils...Up! Cold, wet, rainy, early Spring...

Dear Friends Old and New,
End of March...time for Spring to do its annual dawdle, isn't it? Today, cold, damp, rainy, skies are dark, but three Daffodils and a few Narcissus are blooming, first of season! Many are up, through the frozen earth, but have not yet blossomed. These promise to be in full bloom by Easter, that's my guess. A welcome site these images are. In addition, Robins are everywhere. Small birds, Chickadees and Titmice are frenetic, moving here and there with a certain glee. We have not one but two female Cardinals on the property. We see them in the bushes but have not yet determine where they nest. On warm days, now, I see a honey-bee around here every now and again. Honey-bee season is about to break wide-open as April 1 arrives and temperatures really move up and out of the winter range. Baby chicks show up in imagery on social media, frequently, so those hens must be busy tending their new-born flocks, my best guess. As for me, I have some new canvases to pick up at the art supply store, and some new paintings to begin, including a new one that will honor some chickens loved by extended-family members-- this will be a fun painting to undertake. One local art competition closes May 1, so I will be busy attempting to complete some new paintings in the next month. Must meet that deadline with at least one new work! Here's hoping you have some new work to tend to as winter recedes.
Biblical Prints: John 13:34: "Religion," as we all witness, is often trashed by the predictably data-driven, often self-righteous, secular Left, possessed by the desire to make itself the center of power, law and authority up and down this society, working overtime to obliterate any idea or set of ideas that competes with its manufactured, ephemeral, chaotic all-too-narrow, worldly orthodoxies, demanding conformity, everywhere...what a tedious bore. Then, there is the question of one's personal faith, one's faith tradition. And there is the question for non-believers-- "I don't believe it." And the question for agnostics, those who could believe-- if only someone could 'prove it to me.' And the question for data-gatherers, science people, people of logic and rationality who want to participate in an extra-earthly experience that 'makes sense.' What a world we live in! Consequently, I find my faith prints timely and inspiring--and am happy to make them available to you or your organization on an "anytime" basis. Honestly, to see these images hanging in offices and rooms of friends is always a special treat that warms my heart. Last year, a friend gave his brother an art print gift, seen here, an unusual interpretation of John 3:16. These typographic prints do make excellent gifts at any time of year, most especially during this period of Lent preceding Easter.
