In some respects, I'm still back in August-September, days are warm, honey-bees are here in big numbers and hard at work, gardens are still in bloom, grass needs to be cut, a beach-day shows up every now and again. Life is easy. But ha! Such is not the case, at all. Seasonal weather has arrived. Politics are dismal. Reality is strained, and strange in many ways. And the story of Christ, the theme of 2000+ years of Western Civilization, is about to be celebrated, even in its tattered state.

Christmas and the Holy Days are just about here. Advent, the season of waiting, is working toward its culmination in the unfolding of the Christmas story.
