"Castle Hill Light" Art Print

Here, you see the famous Castle Hill Light, at Castle Hill, Newport, Rhode Island. This popular print choice illustrates the turbulent sea surrounding the determined light-house against a winter sky. I visited this site on this winter day and took a couple of photos which served as the basis upon which the painting was completed. This print is one of a series based on small studies I have painted over the years in and around the Newport area. Other such paint prints can be seen in this gallery at George Delany Art.

The image above and the image below are not on my website. What you see is are prints from a series of "faith prints" I designed and engraved, some years ago. Prints for January-- Big Storm on Way

  Nice time to consider...an original lighthouse print ?  " Portland Head Light " from my  Paint Prints Gallery Dear Friends Old and New, A storm is making its way up the east coast of the United States. More than two feet of snow is predicted to fall, this weekend. Winter settling in, now. Woodstove and furnace work full-time, most days. Today is cold and clear. Perhaps all this creates a good time to order a new print before the storm hits. How about a print from a series of lighthouses I completed some years ago? Here is an example, " Portland Head Light ." What is unusual about this image and series is that each painting is completed in acrylic paint at a small scale, 7" x 5" on a wooden shingle. A very nice visual effect, if I don't say so myself. This series is 'undiscovered,' meaning, I have never really promoted it or called any attention to it. But that is changing, now.
